A way to simplify a transactional/social/etc system is to track not the state of the reality itself, but rather what the parties to the interaction have to say about it. I came across this as it lays behind both problems addressed by crowdsourcing as well as Agile development processes. These are both on my mind at the moment.

Agreed. This is beautiful. My mind is spinning with ideas that could be integrated with my projection face sculpture that I showed at the BRAF Artumnal.
