Where are They Now?

Very cool: The Sunlight Foundation uses wiki-style, distributed research tactics to shed light on the internal workings of government. For example, if you want to know which congressional staffers go on to work for lobbying groups, and how quickly, you can check this site:

http://wherearetheynow.sunlightprojects.org/

The data is researched (and then confirmed) by people like you and me. Anyone can participate. It’s cool that we can check this. It’s even more important that reporters, bloggers, and independent data hounds have access to it so that they can break stories that need to be talked about.

I read about this on Lessig’s blog. The Sunlight Foundation is one of the concrete examples that he has given of a technological/cultural solution to corruption in government.
