Overheard on the train, this morning:

Woman: You know, there are some sick people in Palestine. Mentally ill. Just a few, you know? You have to be mentally ill to be homicidal, like that.

Man: …

Woman: I mean, you must be, to want to kill yourself like that. Strapping a bomb to yourself. Afflicting yourself and the whole crowd like that. You’d have to be mentally ill. Don’t you think?

Man: Look, I have no idea of the psychological profile of a Palenstinian suicide bomber.

Woman: …

Man: …

Woman: This is the worst part of the ride, you know? It’s just all dead. Dead bushes, dead buildings…
